What about this period project?

This time we had the chance to know more about disabled people rights doing research in some establishments to know about their work policies and facilities for handicaps. I did know that disabled people need some special care that not handicap people don't need but I didn't know that there's even an act that settles their rights to be treated as any other person. When I did my interviews in the Grand Hotel Acapulco, I got to know more about their treatment toward people with disabilities, as customers and as employees. Customers get special rooms calle "Handicaps" where they have some facilities like wider doors, handlebars in special areas, ramps, the classic elevators and even panic buttons. As for employees, they pretty much have the same treatment that any other worker, they have the same schedules, payment and work areas, but they do have like some tolerance, and the hotel hires physically disabled people and mentally disabled people too, as long as they can do their job, they have chances to be hire.

I liked the purpose of the project, that, I guess it was to understand a little bit more about disabled people situations, but the execution was kind of stressing, I know it was my fault because I always procrastinate and leave things for the last minute, but, hey!, now it's done, right?

Thanks miss Nora for this type of projects, they get me out of my everyday routine and teach me about important things that I do care, but not as much as everyone should.
